![]() The basic concept for Praey is that you play as a lone warrior sent to a dying world to discover the cause of a never-ending winter, which I would venture to guess involves killing vanquishing the towering giants that inhabit the land. Breakwaters, for example, recently positioned itself to deliver a similar experience to tackling the colossi in Team Ico’s masterpiece, but Breakwaters is also mostly a survival crafting game. There have been a few contenders in the intervening years, but nothing that really scratches that itch. I loved Shadow of the Colossus, and I’ve often lamented how few games managed or even attempted to deliver a similar experience to that thrilling game. Now I just need to find the time to actually play it, what with all of the other games on my plate (it’s been a surprising busy year for games). I just didn’t know when that time would finally arrive. But knowing a console version was on the horizon, I also felt like holding off so I could utilize my DualSense to tackle these monstrous beasts. Part of that was the issue of control, a problem I’ve only recently remedied. I’ve had this game on my Steam Wishlist for some time now, but I could never pull the trigger. This also happens to be the same day the game was shadow-released for both the PS4 and PS5 at a price point of $29.99. That all changed when a release trailer suddenly dropped on December 14, 2021. For the most part, things have been pretty quiet for this Shadow of the Colossus-like’s console edition. Needless to say, it didn’t hit its target release date. ![]() If this is the case, here is a title that could make noise without throwing a big chill.Praey for the Gods was supposed to launch for consoles in the first quarter of 2021. However, we can be reassured by the caution of the studio which takes its time, which suggests a rendering that meets our expectations. Praey For The Gods, failing to have an official release date, is one of those titles that arouse curiosity, but also a lot of questions as the expectations placed in him are numerous. The achievement as a whole promises an epic and spectacular quest in its confrontations as in its more contemplative moments. One can only be caught by this atmosphere of the Far North, modeled with brio and promoting an impressive immersion and essential to the genre. It is in these phases of play that the parallels with the aforementioned illustrious titles will be most evident. Patience and observation will be your best weapons if you hope to win. In addition to that, we will have to cross swords with gigantic creatures, all endowed with a unique weak point that will have to be exploited in order to defeat them. Survival will be at the center of the gameplay, testing the player’s resourcefulness and sense of exploration. In search of answers from the gods, and determined to save these lands doomed to decay, he will have to survive in the heart of this inhospitable region. Our young hero seeks to understand the reasons for this endless winter that is sweeping down these regions. This is a third-person action survival game that takes place on a desolate, snow-capped island. It must be said that the title has something to seduce, because it is freely inspired by great works such as Shadows of the Colossus or Bloodborn, but make no mistake, this Praeys For The Gods remains an original proposal of the most intriguing, this kind of game which knows how to arouse curiosity. Rumors leave hear an arrival by the end of April, but neither the studio nor the publisher has confirmed this information as of this writing. While the title was released in early access in 2019 on Steam, the console versions were long overdue, and it was at the end of 2020 that the studio gave news by dating its release in the first quarter of 2021. However, the game has experienced many postponements and setbacks. This Kikstarter project, launched in 2015 and carried by three developers from the No Matter studio, was able to federate more than $ 500,000, which is much more than the 300,000 planned in the initial objective. For PlayStation and Xbox gamers say that Praey For The Gods was overdue is a no-brainer.
